The Mazant New Orleans Colorful Wedding

I love that I get to take photos with the backdrop of lush greenery and green mountains of Vermont. However, when I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding in the vibrant city of New Orleans, I knew it would be an unforgettable experience. I’ve been to New Orleans a few times for other photoshoots as well as for fun, so to shoot a vibrant wedding in such a vibrant place was incredible. A few years ago Dan proposed to Addie in New Orleans which made the venue choice easy for them as New Orleans is their favorite place and a place that now holds so many sentimental moments.

I’ve known Addie and Dan since my time in grad school and even had the pleasure of photographing her sister’s wedding in Vermont. Let me tell you New Orleans did not disappoint! Y’all know I love vibrant and bold colors and you can see that in every detail Addie and Dan curated – the flowers, their outfits, all of it!

Addie is a ceramicist so you know I had to include the incredible custom handmade candle holders and flower vases she made for the table that then people were able to take as gifts in the flatlay. I then made a fun flat lay with more of a Mardi Gras theme with beads, bold sunglasses, and even colorful matchsticks.

The location was also so perfect, The Mazant is an incredible house/ venue to host intimate gatherings, the yard is spacious, there were plenty of places around the house to sit, relax chit chat, and of course, there’s nothing like a post-wedding dip in the pool. The Vendors they hired were incredible, professional, and talented and kept the day running so smoothly. Extra shout out to the most delicious wedding dinner I’ve ever had made by the incredible Chef Nadia of Little Kitchen Nola hired through My House Events.

Whether it’s a tropical beach, a historic city, or a charming countryside villa, destination weddings offer a unique blend of romance, adventure, and celebration. These intimate gatherings allow you to create unforgettable memories in a setting that reflects your personal style and love story. I love to travel and will get on a plane to capture your special day anytime, so let’s make some magic together! Send me an inquiry so we can chat more about your wedding.
